Kenya settle for silver and bronze in men’s Commonwealth Games 10,000m final

DANIEL SIMIU EBENYO FINISHED SECOND, CLAIMING THE SILVER MEDAL IN A PERSONAL BEST TIME OF 27 MINUTES 11.26 SECONDS WITH KIBIWOTT KANDIE FINISHING THIRD AND SETTLING FOR BRONZE IN A TIME OF 27 MINUTES 20.34 SECONDS.

Kenyan athletes settled for silver and bronze in the men’s 10000m final at the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday 2 August 2022.

Daniel Simiu Ebenyo finished second, claiming the silver medal in a personal best time of 27 minutes 11.26 seconds with Kibiwott Kandie finishing third and settling for bronze in a time of 27 minutes 20.34 seconds.

Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo claimed the gold medal in a games record time of 27 minutes 09.19 seconds.

Following the result, Kenya now has 4 medals, ( 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals).
